A Place

Is there a place you go to remember
Eyes in the winter, tunes of December
An angel choir of children posed
with coats and robes and snow on the grave stones

And in the frost we wrote our names-
We once were there, we will remain.
When, as the wind, a new day came
We didn’t know the one to blame for it

Is there a place you go to be younger-
Hopeful and burning, loving with hunger
Is there a face you think you know
But then it’s not the same tomorrow

I’ll see you again in another land..
